Chingona Community: 3rd Annual Awards Scholarship Gala

On June 22, 2024, the Chingona Community hosted its 3rd Annual Awards Scholarship Gala at the City Club Los Angeles. The event was brilliantly led by Cecilia ‘Cece’ Valencia of 93.5 FM KDAY.

At this year’s gala, we awarded scholarships to four outstanding young women from the California University of Science and Medicine, Cal State Los Angeles, University of San Diego, and Pasadena City College. We also honored five exceptional Chingona Community members for their significant contributions to women's empowerment and the local community:

  • Evelia “Evy” Carmona (Southern California Edison)

  • Renee Guerrero (American Career College)

  • Jeanette Diaz (San Gabriel Valley Water)

  • Julie Delgadillo (Corazon Inc.)

  • Misty Cota (Keller Williams)
